"20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" To Be Shot In 3D?

Strictly conjecture at this point, but there are many indications that 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA: CAPTAIN NEMO could indeed be shot in stereoscopic 3D.

Firstly, we are talking Disney and they are well known for being committed to the format. Secondly, along with McG (who just signed on to the fast tracked project for $8 million against a 7% slice of the gross) Disney has lined up Sean Bailey who is producing TR2N - which we KNOW will be shot in 3D. Thirdly, water and underwater scenes are some of the best environments to shoot in 3D - anything that floats can be placed in midframe to really amplify the proximity effect if required for the shot.

Man, this would look great in 3D! Let's hope the mouse house stays true to the superior immersive format that 3D gives audiences.

I will update you as soon as I hear more about this project!
