Yesterday the organization announced the winners for the current year awards and here they are.

Best Film: The Social Network

Best Director: David Fincher for The Social Network
Best Debut Director: Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington for Restrepo

Best Ensemble Cast: The Town
Best Actress: Lesley Manville in Another Year
Best Supporting Actress: Jacki Weaver in Animal Kingdom
Best Actor: Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network
Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale in The Fighter

Breakthrough Performance: Jennifer Lawrence in Winter’s Bone

Best Adapted Screenplay: Aaron Sorkin for The Social Network
Best Original Screenplay: Chris Sparling for Buried

Best Animated Feature: Toy Story 3

The Social Network is the film that collected more awards this year and becomes “more” an Oscar contender (of course we already had it in our list) and perhaps opens opportunities for Eisenberg to grab a nod; maybe what calls my attention from the first critics’ awards is the original screenplay award going to Buried.
