Opinion

The Bourne Identity is an excellent spy film - the best I have seen so far - and the most realistic one. Forget about James Bond, the gadgets, the fantastic sports cars and the ladies: Jason Bourne is  a vulnerable human being.
Directed quite well by Doug Liman, the film has a good cinematography and great action scenes.
Matt Damon is an excellent choice as the CIA operative Jason Bourne, and he easily slips into the character; Franka Potente is great as Marie; Chris Cooper's performance is great.
