It’s Easter! He is risen! Hallelujah!
See, even The Cage digs Handel’s “Messiah.” Now, if you’re anything like me (God help you), you probably forget that only the first part of “The Messiah” deals with the birth of Jesus. The Hallelujah Chorus we so often sing at Christmas is actually all about the resurrection. That’s why when Handel premiered the work back in 1742, he did so right before Easter. So, everyone feel free to Hallelujah away. And if you’re not comfortable breaking out your Nick Cage dance moves and would prefer something a bit more subdued, there’s always the classic approach…
A happy and blessed Easter to each of you and yours.
