The Other Side of the Wind (TBA)
Netflix will help restore and complete the film Orson Welles left unfinished after his death in 1985. The Other Side of the Wind stars John Huston as a an aging director trying to make a comeback with his newest film, a satire of Hollywood. Huston's character dies after a party, with the movie uncovering what happened and his secrets, filmed as a mockumentary.
This was filmed from 1970 to 1976. This was going to be Welles comeback to the U.S. but a hampered production as well as financial issues caused delays. Legal issues led to seizure of the film negatives.
Crowdfunding was launched in 2014 but failed to garner enough donations.
