New in Theaters for August

A lot of movies are premiering in August, but only a few of them interest me. This is why they might be worth watching... or avoiding.

WATCHING
Suicide Squad (August 5, 2016)

DC is trying hard to catch up to Marvel. With Harley Quinn the Joker and a wide range of characters, this might be the movie to do just that.

War Dogs (August 19, 2016)
Two young men become international arms dealers to the American military. I came across this true story a while ago, and the facts alone are just crazy. With Miles Teller, Bradley Cooper, and Jonah Hill, this looks promising. I just hope it doesn't turn into the disappointing biopic Pain & Gain (2013).

AVOIDING
Sausage Party (August 12, 2016)
An animated R rated Seth Rogen comedy. So that's how they got the name. Why be clever when you can be crass? Just look at the image above, enough said.

Nine Lives (August 5, 2016)
Kevin Spacey is a stuffy businessman that finds himself stuck inside the mind of a cat. Is House of Cards not paying him enough?

Southside With You (August 19, 2016)
Barack Obama's epic first date with Michelle. Is this true or just based on a true event? I'm guessing the date happened, but everything in the movie is fiction. If this movie didn't shoehorn Obama's name into it, I doubt anyone would even notice it.
