Thursday Movie Picks: Television Edition: Comedies

Another "season" of Wandering Through the Shelves' Thursday Movie Picks has come to an end —don't worry though, it'll be back next year— and, like every last Thursday of the month for the past two years, it's television themed. This time we are asked to pick comedies. Without further ado, here are my favourites.

PS. Since this is the last Thursday Movie Picks of the year, I decided to pick for each the character I identify the most with :)

The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)

It follows flatmates Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parson) and their friends Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg), four brilliant physicists who are completely lost when it comes to interacting with people, especially women. Their lives change when a beautiful girl (Kaley Cuoco) moves next door. It's not as good as it used to be, but it's still funny.

Character: Sheldon

Friends (1994-2004)

It follows the lives of six 20 to 30-something-year-old friends living in Manhattan. Over the course of ten years, they go through family trouble, romances, fights and much more. This is easily one of the funniest shows ever made as well as one of the most touching ones

Character: Chandler, duh!

The Office (2005-2013)

A documentary crew follows a group of office workers of a paper company whose workdays mostly consist of inappropriate behaviour, clashes and boredom. Not your typical office workday, in other words. I remember seeing the first episode many years ago on TV and I turned it off immediately. I gave it a second chance, and damn this is good.

Character: Creed
