YES! Ryan Reynolds Lies Down For First Look At DEADPOOL

As can be expected, Ryan Reynolds absolutely NAILS the first image from DEADPOOL revealing his character's costume (Reynolds tweeted it today). It's very similar if not exact to the costume used in his test footage short.

This is the one comic book hero movie I've been waiting for. Fans have been waiting a long time and have even been insulted somewhat (Deadpool was unfortunately mistreated in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE) but I think Fox is now firing on all cylinders. The image looks PERFECT.

Here's the movie's storyline:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

DEADPOOL ignites the fires on February 12, 2016. More news when we get it! And it goes without saying - This had better be a 3D release!

Tolkien Week Kick Off: New Images From THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY!

Check out these new official images that have been released for Tolkien Week (The 75th anniversary of THE HOBBIT's publication)! It's a special time of year with the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo happening on Wednesday - so much so that Peter Jackson has confirmed Tim's suspicions that yes, there will be a new trailer for THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY on Wednesday.

Here's the storyline for the movie:
THE HOBBIT follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.

Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever … Gollum.

Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

Disney Releases First Look Of Angelina Jolie As MALEFICENT

Here's the first look at Angelina Jolie as MALEFICENT in Disney's tale of the villain from SLEEPING BEAUTY. It actually looks like this movie could be fun for all ages!

I can see why the project was selected by Jolie - it's original, yet based on a classic tale and with it brings the best of both worlds. Just about as close to a win-win as you can get.

The Walt Disney Studios announced today that production began Wednesday, June 13th, on MALEFICENT starring Academy Award®–winning actress Angelina Jolie.

Directed by two-time Oscar®-winning production designer Robert Stromberg (AVATAR, ALICE IN WONDERLAND), in his directorial debut, and produced by Joe Roth, MALEFICENT is written by Linda Woolverton (THE LION KING, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) and executive produced by Angelina Jolie, Don Hahn, Matt Smith and Palak Patel.

Co-starring in the film are Sharlto Copley (DISTRICT 9), Elle Fanning (SUPER 8), Sam Riley (ON THE ROAD), Imelda Staunton (VERA DRAKE), Miranda Richardson (THE HOURS), Juno Temple (ATONEMENT) and Lesley Manville (SECRETS AND LIES).

Must See: Official IRON MAN 3 Image - Stark And His Suits

We've seen some spy shots already from the IRON MAN 3 set in North Carolina and now we have something official from Marvel.

A rather cool shot of Tony Stark standing in front of his menagerie of Iron Man suits. Which shall I drive today? :-) Each movie, including THE AVENGERS, had Stark utilizing an increasingly complex (but faster) method of getting on and off his suit when he is in peril. The robot arms in IRON MAN, the suitcase in IRON MAN 2, walking THROUGH robotic arms in THE AVENGERS as well as the wrist laser guided, airborne suit. So what's next for IRON MAN 3? Good question.

And what's up with the partially obscured suit, second from the left? Is that a "stealth suit" or is it just a see through mannequin that is displaying various parts of a suit? It seems to me to probably be the latter as the suits look like they are positioned in chronological order. No War Machine though. Hmmm. Thoughts?

Oh yes - love the shot of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy swinging down to the street! What a shot. Too bad the EW watermark has to be everywhere on these things though.

Can't wait to see these visuals - the color usage alone has my interest piqued. Add on 3D and well, we'll be in the comics themselves :-)

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. First Official Look At THE GREEN HORNET!

Finally we get to see some official imagery (via Yahoo!) for Sony's THE GREEN HORNET! And if you want more, watch Jimmy Kimmel tonight for the launch of the trailer.

Here is the storyline: Britt Reid is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene — until his father mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato, they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves — protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets.

Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case, they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky. But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.
