Drilling Into One Of The 3D Sessions at NAB 2008...

I have gotten some more details on an exciting 3D session at NAB 2008 - check it out and consider going to the conference if you haven't pulled the trigger yet...

"Phil Streather, producer of acclaimed IMAX 3D film Bugs!, offers an illuminating journey through the technical minefield of live action 3D: depth, out of screen, negative and positive parallax, depth budget, cropping masks and floating windows - ah - such fun!

Along with Ralston Humble, of Pinewood UK's PabloPost, Phil will use clips from a selection of 3D material to illustrate the key concepts behind successful (and not so successful) 3D - all live on a Quantel Pablo 4K - big thanks to Quantel UK. The idea is to give attendees a visual tool kit, with which to become marginally more interesting to talk to in the bar!!"

Come along to the Event Theater on Monday 14 for the Stereoscopic 3D session (powered by Real D 3D)

Timing:
9:45 am - 10:00 am
Welcome and Introduction
10:00 am - 10:30 am
3-D Primer - Phil Streather and Ralston Humble
