Some More Details on "My Bloody Valentine 3-D"...

Just got some more info on "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" for the horror fan residing within you.

Production is scheduled to start on May 12th in Pittsburgh and is apparently making use of the local coal mines for locations. That makes a whole lot of sense as the original was shot in Nova Scotia and also made use of the local coal mines - many of them have been death traps in days gone by.

Director for the project is Patrick Lussier ("The Eye") and has recently cast Jaime King ("Pearl Harbor") as the lead. Zane Smith scripted.

"My Bloody Valentine 3-D" is pegged for release on January 23rd, 2009.

One last little tidbit of knowledge: The movie is being shot with Red One cameras in 3D configuration! This is an exciting fact as more and more independents (and top directors!) are starting to use the affordable, yet masterful 4K product from Red. Look for an announcement at NAB 2008 regarding their even more affordable Scarlet 2K camera.
