Netflix has canceled Gypsy after just one season.
Other recently canceled Netflix titles include The Get Down, Girlboss, and Sense8. While Netflix has been known to not cancel series, since they don't release viewership numbers we can't know whether this is a quality or general viewership decision. The Get Down was one of the most expensive series to date, while Girlboss received generally unfavorable reviews. Sense8 has a small yet devoted fanbase and will get two hour finale.
Gypsy didn't impress in the few episodes we watched. Listen to our podcast episode on it which ends with a 1 of 5 review.
Naomi Watts played a psychiatrist that formed dangerous and intimate relationships with people in her patient's lives. Billy Crudup played her husband, and the series was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Gray).
