Netflix Wins Emmy Awards

69th Primetime Emmy Awards (2017)
The Primetime Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence in American primetime television programming. The 69th annual ceremony was held on Sunday September 17 with Stephen Colbert hosting. The creative arts ceremony was held September 9 and 10.

The most nominated shows were NBC's Saturday Night Live and HBO's Westworld Season 1 with 22 each.
Game of Thrones, Veep, Big Little Lies, and The Handmaid's Tale were the big winners this year.

Netflix picked up 19 wins total with four coming in the main ceremony, including best supporting actor with John Lithgow in The Crown, comedy writing for Master of None, and two wins for Black Mirror: San Junipero. The additional 15 awards came during the creative arts ceremony with Stranger Things, 13th, and The Crown picking up the most for Netflix.

Netflix was nominated for 91 awards. They had 54 nominations in 2016, 34 in 2015, and 31 in 2014. Checkout the full list we posted in July of Netflix's nominations.
