Netflix has a lot of new content for October, listed first is what I plan on checking out.

Donnie Darko - October 1

Jake Gyllenhaal in an early role as a teen who has a 6' tall giant rabbit as a friend... and the world is ending. Amazing movie that explores time and sacrifice.

The Hateful Eight - October 25

This movie is incredible. The script is amazing and the acting is sublime. It's such an incredibly well made movie where everything comes together so well. Trapped in a cabin during a blizzard, bounty hunters, a bounty, a sheriff, a hangman, a rancher, and more must survive each other.

Stranger Things - October 27

Season one was set in 1983 where a mother tries to find her son after he disappears mysteriously in the small town of Hawkins.
Season 2 is set one year later, and is more of a sequel than continuation. There will be more scenes in the upside down world, more monsters, and additional settings.
The Duffer brothers have confirmed season 3, and are planning a season 4 as the last season.

Mindhunter - October 13

Two FBI agents interview imprisoned serial killers to solve ongoing cases in 1979. This series is baseda  1995 book and stars Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallanay, Anna Torv, and Hannah Gross.
This has already been renewed for season 2.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - October 13

A fun comedy that spoofs racing. This is infinitely quotable and almost always hilarious.

Wheelman - October 20

Starring Frank Grillo as a double crossed getaway driver on the run.
