Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold premieres on October 27
Directed by her nephew Griffin Dunne, Joan Didon produced more than 50 years of essays, novels, screenplays, and criticism, chronicling the ebb and flow of America's cultural and political tides with observations on upheavals, downturns, and life changes. Footage includes Didion partying with Janis Joplin, in a recording studio with Jim Morrison, and cooking dinner for one of Charles Manson's women.
The documentary was first announced August 24.
