New in Theaters for October

A lot of movies are premiering in October, but only a few of them interest me. This is why they might be worth watching... or avoiding.

WATCHING

Blade Runner 2049 (October 6, 2017)
Ryan Gosling is a blade runner that uncovers a secret. Harrison Ford is also in the movie with Denis Villeneuve is directing. Villeneuve is a good director, and I'd watch one of his movies regardless. Blade Runner is a classic. It's a combination that means I must watch this.

The Florida Project (October 6 2017)
The concept is intriguing. This follows the adventures of a six year old who lives in the shadow of Disney World. That's all I know, and it's enough.

AVOIDING

The Snowman (October 13, 2017)
Killer snowmen? Well maybe just one... the point still stands. The upside, this could be the biggest positive surprise of the month. The downside, it's Jack Frost all over again.

The Foreigner (October 13, 2017)
Jackie Chan does Taken. Chan could make this unique enough, but he's not getting any younger either.
