Season 2 - 10 episodes (2018)
The series is a joint venture with Canadian channel CBC. The series will first premiere in Canada before its Netflix release in 2018.
Based on the 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables, where orphan Anne Shirley (Amybeth McNulty) is adopted by a couple expecting a boy to help them on their farm.
The second season adds new characters and story lines as the series continues to explore prejudice, feminism, bullying, gender parity, and empowerment through it's fourteen year old protagonist.
Season 2 was announcemed on August 3, 2017.
