In season 1 of this French language series, Robert Taro (Gérard Depardieu) is mayor of Marseille and on the verge of retirement. When he is betrayed his former protégé Lucas Barrès (Benoît Magimel), he decides to run for mayor again.
In season 2, incumbent mayor Robert Taro in the intensive care unit while Lucas Barrès tries to oust him, but he is still nine votes short of becoming the new mayor.
