Movies with a non-linear narrative are my favourite kind of movies. These are the movies that challenge me the most and keep me hooked till the very last moment. This is this week's theme for

Thursday Movie Picks, and since Dell over
Dell on Movies is yet again hosting the
Girl Week blogathon, and I probably won't have any time to write an actual post —I'm so busy lately it's a miracle I managed to watch a film every day and write about it— I'm going girl-theme with three films starring ladies.
On the day of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick (Ben Affleck) returns home only to find that his wife, Amy (Rosamunde Pike), is missing and he soon becomes the main suspect. This film is just brilliant and Pike's performance is mind-blowing.
Mulholland Drive (2001)
Rita (Laura Harring) is the sole survivor of a brutal car accident in LA but she suffers amnesia, ends up in a stranger's apartment and eventually her story intertwines with that of Betty Elms (Naomi Watts), a young woman in search of stardom. I'm not sure I understand this movie. Actually, I'm sure I did not understand this movie, which is why I need to rewatch it, but it was very intriguing.
Premonition (2007)
It follows Linda (Sandra Bullock), a depressed homemaker, as she experiences the days surrounding the death of her husband (Julian McMahon) in a non-chronological order and tries to save him. I watched it many years ago because of Sandra and I liked it. Not sure how I'd feel about it now.
