Plot
A New York cop and his wife become prime suspects in the murder of an elderly billionaire while vacationing in Europe.
Verdict
It's a very simple plot that is silly in nearly everything it does. I assumed there would be some kind of twist that explained why the characters are stereotypes and the movie relies heavily on tropes. It's not that funny, utilizing the most obvious joke in each scene. It's low effort.
Skip it.
Review
I know that watching a new Sandler movie at this point will only end in disappointment, but I thought with Jennifer Aniston in this maybe this movie would be better. It's not.
Aniston and Sandler play a middle class couple with a few problems that go on an impromptu honeymoon fifteen years after the fact. They end up on a billionaires yacht and of course that's played for the obvious jokes. This is very silly in nearly everything it does. The other characters are caricatures. They never even approach authenticity.
I expected the twist that explains why everyone in this movie is a lazy trope relying on lazy jokes to be explained away by the fact that Aniston fell asleep reading a mystery novel. That's not it. This movie is just bad.
