First Trailer - THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TRADER

I am anxious to see how NARNIA turns out in 3D. Legions of fans have been waiting since PRINCE CASPIAN was released in May of 2008 for this second sequel of the classic stories.

The series has been a huge success box office wise: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE made $745m worldwide and PRINCE CASPIAN dipped significantly but still pulled in $420m.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TRADER opens this December 10 in 3D theaters near you.

I have a couple of comments about the trailer but I will place them after the embed so that I don't spoil it for you! Have a look...




I love the painting filling the room with water scene! The imagery looks stunning don't you think?

Personally I want more minotaurs!

To be honest however, the series has not inspired me yet. Obviously the world loves the franchise so I am hoping the 3D brings me in! I certainly enjoyed CS Lewis' stories growing up. I will be first in line to check this one out.

Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

Majestic shot or what? No wonder this franchise has been a worldwide phenomenon; wonderful and fantastic characters. Let's face it - C.S. Lewis was no slouch! VOTDT hits 3D screens this December 10.

GULLIVER'S TRAVELS And NARNIA 3 Joining The 3D Holiday Rush!

Jim here. According to Fox spokesman Vincent de La Tour both GULLIVER'S TRAVELS and THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TRADER will be ready for this year's Christmas season in stereoscopic 3D.

This officially confirms our suspicions about what other Fox properties were on tap to be in three dimensions. As a side note, Fox's S3D animation RIO will be out April 8, 2011. It centers on "a nerdy macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small-town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro."

GULLIVER'S TRAVELS (Rob Letterman, Director) will be released December 30 while NARNIA 3 (Michael Apted, Director) will be on screens December 9.

The holiday season will be jam packed with exciting 3D entertainment as these two movies join HARRY POTTER (Nov 19), TANGLED (Nov 24), TRON: LEGACY (Dec 17) and YOGI BEAR (Dec 17).

Stunning news really as the holiday season looks to be bursting at the seams with 3D movies! Keep those 3D screen rollouts steaming along guys.
