Definitely a major spoiler here, so if you want a pristine viewing experience in the theater it may be wise to not watch this new trailer for TERMINATOR: GENISYS. Seriously. I almost didn't watch it because I wanted to be surprised in the theater - especially as my friend Patrick Lussier co-wrote it. But hey, I took one for the team! ... And I loved what they've done :-)
There's definitely a huge twist and it is exposed here.
Here's the storyline for the movie: When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Let's get the non-spoiler item out of the way first. J.J. Abrams' STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS will be opening a week earlier in the UK than in North America with the UK enjoying a May 9 launch (all formats according to Simon Pegg) and across the pond in the US and Canada, a May 17 date (May 15 in IMAX).
Now let's get something straight about these spoilers. I'm against them. I'm literally against reading them and - get this - I haven't. I am blind copying and pasting this info for those of you who do want to be spoiled for this much anticipated movie. I can't bring myself to read it because I am a die hard Trekkie and I refuse to not see this thing in a pristine form.
SO. If you don't mind being spoiled - these are MASSIVE spoilers by the way - then read on. I know they're massive by the reception it's getting. Whoever wrote this in Brazil broke many a cardinal rule in doing so and he should be banned from the web. Can't stop it now - it's on the Internet and with a life of its own.

Brazilian site Judao.com.br has a report from a press screening for Star Trek Into Darkness from Sau Paulo which was presented by producer Bryan Burk. 38 minutes of the movie was shown, mostly from the beginning of the film. TrekMovie has confirmed that the event did happen and that the report is accurate. Below are some highlights from the report From the extended beginning of the film… Opening sequence (previewed at IMAX theaters in December) has been reordered to have Nibiru Volcano sequence now opens the film followed by title card and then the scenes in London and at the hospital Nibiru mission ends with Kirk rescuing Spock by violating the prime directive by revealing the Enterprise to Nibiru natives so he can beam Spock out of the Volcano Kirk has a scene in bed (back in San Francisco) in bed with two "cat women" Kirk makes mention of hoping to get assigned to a "five year mission" (implying that the famed five year mission hasn’t started yet for the time he has been captain) Kirk is demoted for violating prime directive on Nibiru, loses command of Enterprise with Pike to take over command Kirk as first officer Pike wanted to send Kirk back to Academy but was convinced (possibly ordered?) to make Kirk first officer of Enterprise by Admiral Marcus (played by Peter Weller) Spock assigned to another ship The "father" character uses his Starfleet ring as a bomb (dropping it into water for a reaction) and destroys a facility (in London) London attack leads to big meeting of Starfleet captains which itself is attacked by John Harrison, resulting in Pike being injured…Harrison transport away Later scenes in the film…. **END SPOILERS** Whew. You don't know how hard it is to post something and not read it. I trust the authenticity of it enough to do so. Personally I hope you didn't read it because this movie deserves a fully timed out reveal to you in its own pace and surprises. This is Star Trek after all.

WHOA. A very nice spoiler if it's true and certainly the footage is bound to have some pedigree from Guillermo del Toro's PACIFIC RIM due to the nature of the visual FX company Mirada and the guy who owns it: Guillermo del Toro.

Yes, it's a giant robot and it's firing shoulder mounted missiles at something. There's a nice sequence revealing a forearm based missile system as well.
The size of the robot is on par with the office buildings beside it. Perhaps some concept work that was done prior to PACIFIC RIM? Regardless, it looks darn good.
In fact the whole clip is amazing. Looks like Merida means business and is here for the long run.

I've heard through the grapevine that PROMETHEUS' 3D is done EXTREMELY well. As it should be with Ridley Scott, Red Epics and 3ality Technica working together to deliver the goods. So I can't wait for that.
I wasn't invited to the London premiere as some of you have mentioned, but I promise that we're working on something special with Fox and hopefully it comes to fruition. Can't say what yet, but I'll be consoled if it does!

Got the new SAW 3D trailer for you - keep in mind it does give away some of the traps they have in store for you, but hey - that's modern marketing isn't it?
These traps certainly look as though they have been created with 3D in mind - you will see that when you view the trailer.

Perhaps this 3D iteration of the SAW franchise will reinvigorate the series? :-) More SAW? What about a spin off series that sets traps only with blunt instruments - something like MALLET? Seriously though, if SAW 3D makes a ton of money which I think it will, we may not have seen the end of Jigsaw.

WHOA! TRON: LEGACY looks absolutely stunning!! Wait until we see this in 3D theaters guys!
Note that some at the convention thought the footage looked quite flat but could simply be a matter of them rushing the scenes for the show. In fact, most of the spy footage shown here seems perfectly viewable in 2D, so those thoughts on it being flat ARE correct. I am confident we will have a wonderful experience with this movie however. There are some great people working on this film and there is a lot at stake. This movie WILL blow your mind.

I have the first bit of printable news from one of my inside sources to help paint the picture of what has been going on over in Wellywood, NZ lately - you know, before Guillermo del Toro stepped down...

This is a direct quote (emphasis is mine):
"Things have always been rolling... it was quiet for a little while a few months ago but then it ramped up again with previs pushing forward and getting some great results on animation and camera work, obviously wanting to get out as much as possible to finally sell the product and getting production into full swing.
Workshop sculpted and finished painting a few miniature characters that turned out awesome and they were later scanned in to the computer and ready to be built as a final movie CG model.
One of the bigger ones that were scanned was "Smaug" the dragon and all I can say is that it looked great... but who knows if any of this will ever see daylight again, if someone else will be directing it and thus changing the design there is always a chance for changes in designs. The 3 trolls with all their gear on the backs also looked fantastic in the workshop models. The attention to detail was stunning and later when seen in the previs, one can truly understand how great this film will be, if it ever gets done. :) I say that more in the way of "a joke", it's too good of a film to pass up on, so it will definitely be made. Might just take a little while. Some of the film set crew are still hoping for an October-November start, but who can really tell with the latest news coming to surface."
Those scanned miniatures sound outstanding! Wish I could see what has been accomplished already. What a situation - the only true hand-off that would make sense now is for Peter Jackson to pick up the reins. We'll see!! Still digging for more - stay tuned...
Jim here. With there being a STRONG possibility that Marvel's THOR will be shot in native 3D, we need to track this project VERY closely! :-) And so we take a look at a spy shot (courtesy of Kellvin over at LatinoReview) of what THOR's villain, The Destroyer, may look like:

From LatinoReview: The Destroyer is an enchanted suit of armor forged by Odin, and when it first appeared it was hinted that the Destroyer had been created as a weapon to face some dark menace from the stars. The Destroyer is used by Thor's arch-foe Loki on several occasions, and each time has actually come close to killing Thor.
The film follows the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Yeah, I would say that image is legit. Cool shot to say the least! Kenneth Branagh must be fuming that it got out. My anticipation for this movie just doubled. Easily.
