OVERVIEW

'Khoob ladi mardaani woh toh Jhansi waali Rani thi'  . 

• Manikarnika is a really good dose of patriotism for the audience this REPUBLIC DAY . 
• A movie which will make an Indian definitely proud about its country
• Movie is all about Kangana . She is everywhere . And she never disappoints . You will never feel irritated with her more than required screen presence  . 
• Amitabh Bacchan's voice brought back memories of Lagaan . 
• Movie would have been all the more entertaining ha d the editing been good . A lot of sequences felt useless and forced  . 
• A shorter duration would have also helped the movie to cover the humongous of around 125 crores  . 
• But , the end product kept me really satisfied , happy and proud .

PERFORMANCES

KANGANA RANAUT

Kangana in Manikarnika

Kangana is , without doubt ,  the queen of Bollywood . The way she portrayed a historical character is the most beleivable on screen historical character I have seen . You will find it difficult to believe that she is doing action sequences for the first time (that too along a small kid in many scenes)  . She is just excellent . And she has been a master at other aspects , that we all know ... dialogues , expressions , accent ,  the way she walked as a queen is just  mesmerising . 

REST ( Yes the movie is just about Kangana ) . 

Danny Denzonpa , Atul Kulakarni , Mohammad Zeeshaan Ayyub ..... everyone has done their job remarkably well . 

TV actress Ankita Lokhane , in a small role, did'nt had much to show her acting skills but is really efficient with the sword in the war scenes .    

Dialogues

Dialogues play a big role in arousing patriotism in such kind of films . 
In Manikarnika , dialogues just about fulfilled the role . Movie would have been on another level had the dialogue writing was more focused .  
May be thats why they copied hte dialogue from ''Mohenjodaro" .... "Aapko Jhansi pe raaj krna hai aur mujhe seva " .

Music 

Not much amount of music is needed in such films .   1-2 good songs do the job . That one is defintely 'Vijayi Bhawa' .Songs gives you a hint of the grandeur of th film . Whenever ,  you hear that song in the theatres , 
GOOSEBUMPS .... is baat pe to 'Angootha lagwa le'  . 

Cinematography

It is just breath-taking right from the beginning till the last scene . 

Action 

Undoubtedly , action is the best part about the movie . Specially ,  the sword fights are amazingly. Never seen before stuff

Direction 

This is the aspect where Manikarnika does not rise much . Reason could be inexperience of Kangana or mismatch vision of the two directors . Director Krish left the movie midway because of other projects , because of which Kangana had to lead .  

VFX 

Do not expect something like 2.0 , not even Bahubali . The CGI is really 'kaam chalau' in the war scenes .

Manikarnika 

"There is nothing bad in this world , there are just different perception ." 

What I may not like at all , might be loved by someone else ..... So.... .

My Opinion 

GO AHEAD and give your self a dose of patriotism this REPUBLIC DAY .
