Netflix announced the release date for Barry, a movie that depicts a pivotal year for the 44th president. Barry found critical acclaim at the Toronto film festival this year.
In the fall of 1981, a young Barack Obama, known to his friends as Barry, begins his junior year at Columbia University. This fact based film explores race, culture, and identity.
In this clip we see Barry walking on campus, in a club, and on the street while text on the screen reads, "Before hope, before he created change, he made us believe we can. He was Barry."
Devon Terrell stars as Barack Obama. The supporting cast includes Ashley Judd, Jenna Elfman, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton), Ellar Coltrane (Boyhood), and Avi Nash (Silicon Valley).
