Plot
This is based on Colleen Ballinger's Youtube persona Miranda Sings. Miranda is a terrible singer that doesn't realize it, but thinks she is destined to be a Youtube star. Her uncle wants to manager her, her mother wants to pacify her. and her sister is the only sane character.

Verdict
I never understood the fascination with the Youtube channel, and I don't get this show. Miranda is beyond annoying, and her voice is so aggravating that I don't know who could persevere through more than a couple of episodes, much less binge this.
It relies on just a few jokes that it recycles throughout the episode. I have to guess the demographic skews much younger than me. If this is aimed at teenagers, I can begin to understand it.
The biggest issue, aside from the lack of humor, is that the episodes are just too long. Youtube thrives on short videos, yet this show, based on a Youtube channel, clocks in with episodes over thirty minutes.
Skip it.

Review
The first scene provides the terrible song upon which the concept for this show was born. You quickly get to decide, "Do I really want more of this or is my time better spent doing anything else?"

There's something incredibly annoying about Miranda's voice, mannerisms, and constant mugging for the camera that makes this unwatchable. It's a level of annoyance that I can't recall ever experiencing. I just can't decide whether the voice or mugging is worse.

I knew I wouldn't like this having watched the trailers. It's done a great job of creating someone completely clueless and out of touch that I don't even want to watch.

You'd think the mandate for brevity on Youtube would translate to twenty minute episodes, but this show is stretched well beyond what the run time should be to over thirty minutes. If this was ten minutes long and on Youtube, it wouldn't be that bad.
On top of that Miranda is played by an actress so much older than the character that it seems less a joke and more self serving. While the character and actress, and I use that term loosely, are the draw, why set this in high school where the age discrepancy is so noticeable?
The show has four jokes, I suppose that's the best word to use, that it recycles every few minutes. Miranda is clueless, her mom is a pushover, her sister is the only sane character, and her uncle is goofball. That's it.

In the first episode Miranda uploads her first video, and we see the comments on screen while they are narrated in a choice just baffling. Miranda then becomes terrified someone that looks like the stock Youtube silhouette profile photo will attack her. The show milks it for many more jokes than the content warrants.
The attempt at jokes that her sister should die instead of her or how her mom is stupid are never funny. You better believe you get those jokes more than once.

In episode 2 Miranda joins a church choir. You can guess what happens.
