Claire Foy plays Elizabeth II and Matt Smith or Dr. Who fame plays Prince Phillip. This series is planned to span 6 seasons/60 episodes covering Elizabeth's marriage in 1947 up to current day.
A young woman took the throne out of duty to help a recovering Britain. That woman was Queen Elizabeth.
In this trailer,Prince Phillip suggests Elizabeth not be the head of state, the head of church, and the head of everything else. "Be a living, breathing woman." He laments that she has taken everything from him.
Elizabeth is told the less she does, the better. She's faced with breaking a promise to her sister by acting as the head of state. This highlights the conflict of family and position. She's at odds with her sister and thus her family, but Prince Phillip is also upset that she is more powerful than he.
One of the closing lines in the trailer is, with this family, you never know if you're in but you definitely know when you're out.
