Stranger Things S2 Casting Announcement

What We Know
The second season is set one year later and will be more a sequel rather than a continuation. It's been billed as Stranger Things 2, not season 2.

There will be additional settings, the upside down will be explored further, and there will be more monsters.

We knew there would be three new characters, Max, Billy, and Roman. I predicted we would see an '80s Camaro this season and the casting announcement confirms it. Previous rumors were that Max had killed someone.

The Duffer brothers, many writers, and most of the actors will return for season 2. There has been no confirmation about Eleven (Mille Bobby Brown), but I think it's safe to assume she'll be back.
The Duffer brothers will draw inspiration from '80s action-adventure sequels, namely Temple of Doom, The Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, and Terminator 2. James Cameron will be a big influence as his sequels always feel distinctly different.

All nine episodes of season 2 have been named.
  1. MadMax
  2. The Boy Who Came Back to Life
  3. The Pumpkin Patch
  4. The Palace
  5. The Storm
  6. The Pollywog
  7. The Secret Cabin
  8. The Brain
  9. The Lost Brother
