Netflix Pays Chris Rock $40 Million for Two New Comedy Specials

Netflix announces two new comedy specials from Chris Rock.
Emmy award winning comedian Chris Rock will return to stand-up after an eight absence.  Netflix has signed him for two specials, paying him $20 million for each, $40 million total. The first special is scheduled to begin filming in 2017.

Rock stated, "I'm very excited to be working with Ted and Lisa and all the good people at Netflix. I can not wait to get back on stage. "

Netflix has landed a 17 comedy specials in 2016 alone, including Chris Tucker, Patton Oswalt, David Cross, Azia Ansari, and Jeff Foxworthy..
