17th CDG Awards Winners
The last industry group had their awards ceremony just a few days before the Oscars show which perhaps is too late to influence voters; but as many are commenting, they managed to confirm what already seems to be clear, Birdman is the film to beat.
But the most interesting fact is that Birdman has NO Oscar nomination in this category! So for your guessing game you have to choose between Into The Woods and The Grand Budapest Hotel. For me the choice is obvious as besides the B movies, the third film in this year's Oscar race is Wes Anderson film.
Honorary recognitions went to Aggie Guerard Rodgers received the 2015 Career Achievement, Richard Linklater the Distinguished Collaborator Award, Deborah Nadoolman Landis the Edith Head Award and Naomi Watts the Lacoste Spotlight.
Winners are in *BLUE. To check winners in all categories go official site here but site is not updated yet, so you can check news here.
