Revenge brings hit man John Wick out of retirement.

Review:
The plot is simple perfection - revenge. With a great tone and good direction, the fight choreography is impeccable. The  protagonist epitomizes cool, from the way he dresses to the car he drives.

When nondescript bad guys attack, it's easy to sympathize and want revenge too. John Wick is efficient and brutal. This unprovoked attack brings him out of retirement.
Easily over the top, yet perfect, it is everything an action movie should be. The music and cinematography are notable. While the ending scene misses the mark by just a few degrees, overall it creates a great atmosphere in this assassin underworld, feeling like a fantasy movie.

One of the best things this movie does is world-building. Assassins lurk among us, with their own hotels and culture hidden in the city. John Wick goes to a hotel for assassins, paying with assassin currency. The movie uses it as a tease, showing us just enough to be interested but not explaining how it integrates.
Watch it.
